Albert Einstein's dog Chico Marx was a wire haired fox terrier. Famously he stated the dog's role in the house, "The dog is very smart. He feels sorry for me because I receive so much mail; that's why he tries to bite the mailman." Einstein had many pets including a cat named Tiger and a parrot, but Chico was the family dog.
