This cat constellation is still "unofficial" per The International Astronomical Union, and is the only domestic cat constellation proposed to date. Originally suggested by French astronomer Joseph Jérôme Lefrançois de Lalande in 1799, Felis illustrations can be found in Noble Star Atlases of the time. If you were to chart the constellation today, it would be located below the Hydra in SQ2.
